Phil Simms is a pathetic excuse for a parent and human being … Simms threatened physical violence today against Heisman Trophy Winner, Super Bowl Winner and MVP, and current ESPN GameDay Analyst Desmond Howard at “The NFL Experience” in Dallas for Super Bowl XLV. The threats came in response to Howard’s on air comments before this season’s LSU v. Tennessee game in which Simms’ son Matt was attempting to play QB for the Vols.
Below Howard relived his comments about the younger Simms which in his role with ESPN he is perfectly within his rights to make. For his part Simms seems to have on rose-colored glasses, because as Howard remarked, Matt Simms is one of the worst QB’s in the SEC which the Stats support …
A junior college transfer, Simms threw 113 completions in 195 attempts for 1,460 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions. These stats are certainly not those of the SEC’s Top QB’s (Mallett, Newton, McElroy) …

At the end of the day, Desmond Howard reached the pinnacle of Football at every level possible … Something Matt Simms will never do … Something that Phil Simms as a Parent needs to realize his kid will never achieve. We all think our kids are the Best at whatever they do, but when National T.V. shows they’re not, we (Simms) must admit it!!!

Phil Simms has every right to be upset… Who does Desmond Howard think he is? Simms would have demolished the ex michigan star. Simms came out looking like the better man. Simms is no way a joke
